Customizable Audio Settings

To give you the exact audio profile you need, the tool allows you to adjust the Bitrate and the Sampling Rate. Frequently Asked Questions

Are my video files uploaded to your servers?
No, absolutely not. The entire conversion process happens locally within your own web browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, ensuring total privacy. This also saves you the massive amount of time and internet bandwidth that would normally be required to upload gigabytes of video to a remote cloud server.
Why does the video preview say "Not Playable in Browser"?
Some video codecs (like certain types of older AVI or heavy MKV files) are simply not natively supported by standard HTML5 video players for visual playback. However, our WebAssembly FFmpeg engine acts independently of the browser's native player and supports a vastly wider range of formats. This means it can still successfully read the file and extract the audio even if the visual preview fails to load.
Is there a file size limit for the videos I can convert?
Because the complex processing occurs directly in your browser's memory (RAM), very large video files (typically those over 1GB to 2GB) might cause your browser tab to crash or run out of memory, depending entirely on your device's hardware capabilities. For optimal stability and performance, we recommend using source videos under 500MB.
Which format should I choose: MP3 or FLAC?
If you prioritize widespread device compatibility and significantly smaller file sizes, MP3 is the best choice. However, if you are extracting high-fidelity audio (like a studio recording or classical concert) and want absolutely zero loss in quality—and you have plenty of storage space—FLAC is the superior audiophile option.
Why is the bitrate option disabled when I select WAV or FLAC?
WAV and FLAC are classified as lossless formats. This means they capture the exact audio data stream without discarding any acoustic information to save space. Since they don't compress the audio using variable data rates like MP3s do, the bitrate setting is technically irrelevant and therefore disabled in the interface.
